Volunteering

We hope that the Mother Goose Wildlife Garden can become an integral part of the local community and value the role that volunteers from the local community can play in helping us to develop the garden.

Adults

We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to:
Carry out practical horticulture and garden maintenance tasks – learn new skills with our qualified gardener/ environmentalist
Help with environmental education sessions, including the development and delivery of sessions for local school and pre-school children
Work on PR and marketing, and events management

14-18 year olds

We are keen to offer opportunities to local secondary school children to develop and deliver short environmental science sessions to pre-school children, as work experience or as regular volunteers.

Owing to the wildlife garden’s use by children and vulnerable adults we require volunteers to complete a DBS (formally CRB) check as part of their induction.
