Environmental Education Assistant
We are looking for a volunteer Environmental Education Assistant to work alongside our experienced Environmental Educator and Gardener to help provide sessions for nursery children and for community days when the garden is open to the public. Children’s sessions are usually on Friday mornings and Community Days are usually on the last Saturday of the month. A three month minimum commitment is required.
Requirements: Enthusiasm, creativity, a commitment to sustainability and experience in working with children and/or community groups are key to these roles. You need to be a confident communicator with an interest in working outdoors. Punctuality and reliability are also essential.
Applicants must be 18 or over and a CRB check will be carried out.
This is a great opportunity to develop your skills in leading outdoor educational workshops with children and adults. This position will be very useful for anyone wanting to further their career in the field of Environmental Education.
